Ingredient Handler – Nestle Solon

Requires HS Diploma/GED. Manufacturing or food service experience required.

POSITION

Ingredient Hander at Nestle,5750 Harper Road, Solon OH 44139

SUMMARY: Assisting in the production of food products by preparing, weighing and supplying the line with ingredients.

JOB DUTIES: Duties range from weighing ingredients, dropping trays on conveyor belt, placing food into trays, opening cases and supplying line with ingredients.

HOURS & SCHEDULE:  All positions are considered “call-in”. You are required to call an automated scheduling phone line to see what days you are scheduled to work day-to-day. The company can schedule you any day Monday through Saturday. A 40 hour/week schedule is not guaranteed. Along with the days you work, start times will vary day-to-day. While Nestle is on the bus line, the buses do not run early enough to be on time to start 1st shift and the bus leaves before the 2nd shift is over.

1st shift starts between 4:00am-6:00am

2nd shift starts between 1:00pm-4:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have experience in manufacturing or food service
  • Must pass comprehensive felony and federal background checks

-No Felonies, Misdemeanors OK if aged 7 years

  • Urinalysis drug screen
  • Strength/agility test (this is conducted at a facility in Hudson, scored on a scale of 1-3, 3 being the highest, this position requires a score of a 2 or higher)
  • Work Keys test (a 5 hour test conducted at Nestle, similar to an ACT or SAT test. The Work Keys Assessment is a paper based test with 4 sections.  The sections measure Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information, Locating Information, and Workplace Observation skills. The test is scored on a scale of 1-7. You must have a score of a 3 or higher in all areas of the test in order to meet Nestlé’s criteria)
  • Possess the physical capabilities to stand all day, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
  • Be able and willing to work a flexible and call-in schedule where 40 hrs/wk is not guaranteed.
  • Reliable transportation (Nestle has a very strict time and attendance policy)

PAY

1st shift pays $10.00/hr, 2nd shift pays $10.25/hr

This is a temp to hire position. You must begin as a temporary associate through Adecco.
