Site Safety Coordinator Position at AKA Construction

Site Safety Coordinator- Cleveland, OH

Purpose:

 Overall responsibility for administration of corporate and site safety program, including working with Site Area Safety Coordinators to develop, implement and manage safety and worker’s compensation programs.  Responsible for day to day oversight of safety programs on assigned job site(s), accident investigations, and ensuring compliance with internal and external policies and safety requirements.    

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, construction safety management, construction management with an emphasis on safety and/or risk management or related degree; at least 1 year experience (including co-ops/ internships) in safety and/or risk management, or in place of a Bachelor’s degree, at least 4 years safety and health experience; at least 1 year experience in the construction industry (including co-ops/ internships)
  • Ability to impart information to others in a readily understandable and accessible manner
  • Knowledgeable about concrete construction, OSHA standards and any similar state/local standards for safety
  • 30 Hours OSHA Construction Safety class or equivalent within the past 3 years
  • OSHA 30 Hour Certification
